Jiangmen is
located at the western side of the PRD and covers nearly ¼ of
the land area of the PRD region. It adjoins with Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau and
connects with South China Sea
in the South. Jiangmen is a city of prefecture level governing Pengjiang, Jianghai and Xinhui
districts and Taishan, Kaiping, Enping
and Heshan county level cities. Its
total area is 9,541 sq km and its total population is 3.95
million. Jiangmen is also named as the First Hometown of
Overseas Chinese.
